Nightspoon of Narthil

Long before the Dodgy Spoon Man earned his title, there was Narthil of the Gloam, a reclusive mage and self-declared Sporemancer, who believed that the mycelial networks beneath the earth were not only alive, but sentient.

He lived deep within the Lurkwood Hollow, a fungal forest said to shift its paths when walked by those with guilt in their hearts. There, Narthil experimented with combining fungal growths and woodcraft, creating strange hybrid artifacts that pulsed with bioluminescence and whispered knowledge from beneath the soil. He was the first known mage to design a spoon that harnessed the forests mycelium networks. A relic now known as the Nightspoon of Narthil.

The Grand Wizard Society banned his work after several apprentices who visited him returned with blank eyes and minds filled with fungus-laced riddles. Narthil vanished not long after. Some say he became part of the forest. Others claim he passed his knowledge to a young wanderer, who would later become known as...
